Verse of the Day 2-27-2018

ROMANS 12:2

"And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God"

 – Romans 12:2 NKJV

Do not be conformed to this world – This warns us that the "world system" – the popular culture and manner of thinking that is in rebellion against God – will try to conform us into its ungodly pattern.

But be transformed by the renewing of your mind – We must start thinking spiritually, which refers to the fact that everything is furnished to us through the Cross, and is obtained by Faith and not works. The battle ground between conforming to the world and being transformed is within the mind of the believer. Christians must think differently.

prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God. – That which the Holy Spirit is attempting to bring about within our lives, and can only be obtained by ever making the Cross the Object of our Faith. As we are transformed on the inside, the proof is evident on the outside, as others can see what the good and acceptable and perfect will of God is through your life.

You may know what is good and acceptable and perfect will of God Is, but you can't prove it in your life apart from the transforming work of the Holy Spirit.

Verse of the Day 1-22-18

ROMANS 8:28

"And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them."

 – Romans 8:28 NLT

God's sovereignty and ability to manage every aspect of out lives is demonstrated in the fact that all things work together for good to those who love God, although we must face trials and hard times. God is able to make even those sufferings work together for our good and His good. God is able to work All Things, not some things. He works them for good together, not in isolation. This promise is for those who love God, and God manages the affairs of our life because we are called according to His purpose.
